What is IPPA?
IPPA (the International
Pectin Producers' Association) is an association of companies who
manufacture pectin. The Association is based in Switzerland, and is
governed by Swiss law. It is managed by a Board consisting of a President,
Vice-president, and Secretary General, elected by the annual General
Meeting of the Association.
The Association
is a member of ELC, the Federation of European Food Additives and
Food Enzymes Industries, and has observer status in Codex Alimentarius,
the international body responsible for elaborating food standards
within the join FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme.
The Association
employs an Executive Secretary who conducts day to day business, including
organising Working Groups concerned with Technical, Regulatory, and
Communications affairs. The President is the first point of contact
with the Association.
